| Resumo: | The magazine Fon-Fon!, periodical published at the first fifty years of the twentieth century, is an important document concerning the Brazilian social-cultural life during the Belle Époque. The choice of this magazine is due to the remarkable insertion of French words or French expressions in its articles which disclosed the carioca society francophile and francophone character. In such case, this work seek to show, in a linguistic approach, the importance that this magazine have at the representation of the Brazilian portuguese during the first decades of the twentieth century, by the utilization of french words in its articles, revealing the considerable influence of the French culture in Brazil. |
