Sumario:This article focuses on female protagonism in the actions and struggles of opposition to Salazarism, highlighting the trajectory and work of Maria Archer. For this, the context, life trajectory and production of Archer in Portugal is recovered, particularizing the actions of censorship of her works; next, it analyzes the performance and works produced in the years of exile in São Paulo (1955-1979). The research carried out valued a diversity of sources and references: the documentation of Pide (Polícia Internacional e de Defesa do Estado), the collection of Torre do Tombo and the Fundação Mário Soares (Portugal), Deops/SP (Departamento Estadual de Ordem Política e Social), literary texts, letters, photographs, interviews, chronicles, press, giving priority to the writings of Maria Archer in exile.
