| Sumario: | Due to the large amount of blogs available on the Internet, and the scarcity of research that analyzes the comments produced in this virtual genre, this study aims to investigate the textuality and the textual-argumentative organization of comments which were published on the blog Papo de Amiga in Capricho Magazine. The blog was chosen not only because it is linked to a wide circulation magazine, but for the substantial participation of its readers, something verified in the large amount of published comments. In order to achieve our goal, we based this study on the theoretical references of Text Linguistics and Linguistic Argumentation Theory, and we carried out a descriptive study, of qualitative approach and basic nature, with no foreseen practical administration. Our corpus of analysis consists in 1,879 comments related to the topic "Teenagers and their family relationships", which were published between March 2009 and August 2010. We initially analyzed these comments in order to gain a general overview from the blog and its operation, and also to verify which genres are used to express opinions on the chosen topic. We identified the constancy of three genres applied on the construction of speech on the blog: strict sensu argumentative comment; comment (report) of experiences; and prescriptive comment. We chose, then, to analyze the textual-argumentative organization of 18 comments, 6 in each genre, which are examples of published comments or show any new elements that were not included in other comments. Through this analysis, we found that the construction of opinion does not happen exclusively via argumentative genre, but also via narrative and injunctive genres, which although are not made of predominantly argumentative sequences, are able to exhibit the speaker's positioning and lead the interlocutor to certain conclusions, excluding others. This event is justified not only for the structure of the blog itself (constellation hypergenre), but mainly because the argumentation is inherent to the language, happening, thus, in any linguistic sequence. |
