Sumario:Insertion of the grid of coordinates in maps tends to be one of the elements that normally becomes a problem for many users. When filling in the X and Y interval, and meridians and/or parallels do not appear on the map, it is usually linked to several conceptual mistakes. Thus, this work aims to present theoretical and practical subsidies on how to properly insert coordinates on maps, in QGIS software. For this, a brief theoretical foundation on Earth shapes and angular and projected coordinate systems was organized, in view of its concepts and conceptions. The second part of the work consists of presenting how to insert the geographic and plane coordinates of the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) system in the maps. In addition to being explained throughout the text, using illustrations, it also included the organization of a video tutorial that demonstrates, in practice, the procedures that must be taken when handling the QGIS print composer for the insertion of coordinates.
