Descripción
Sumario:This study aims to analyze the dissemination of disinformation related to Brazil's presidential election in 2022 through a fact-chicking portal and the Twitter social network. Thus, we categorize posts collected in May 2022 based on fact-checking criteria, using the R programming language for five weeks to classify information based on four verification criteria and identify the role of social networks in disseminating misinformation in the pre-election period. The masking of misinformation through opinionated discourses and the repercussion of posts classified as facts through journalistic portals presented themselves as consequences of the context analyzed by the research. Therefore, we emphasize the importance of combating misinformation and fostering communication in a more democratic and educational environment.
