| Sumario: | This article aims to deepen the analysis of historical references from the 18th to the 19th centuries, exploring botanical species and agroecological practices of indigenous peoples in the Upper Tapajós River region. The goal is to establish a synergistic dialogue between ethnohistory, ethnobotany, and archaeology, aiming to contribute to the understanding of the construction of cultural forests along the Tapajós River. Based on Tupi peoples (Apiaká, Kaiabi, Munduruku, and Sateré-Mawé), this study seeks to examine the complex relationships between indigenous communities and agrobiodiversity, highlighting cultural richness and ancestral management systems in the region. |
