Descripción
Sumario:The article discusses how social networks influence users’ psychological well-being, exploring the impact of digital connectivity on mental health. It differentiates between online and offline social networks, highlighting how digital mediation alters social relationships. The text addresses the growth of social network use, driven by smartphones and mobile internet, and suggests changing the term “Social Network Site” to “Social Network Service” to reflect the mobile and dynamic practice of social interaction. The justification for the study is based on the massive use of social networks and their negative impacts, such as FOMO syndrome and internet addiction, which are associated with various psychological pathologies. The article proposes to investigate these influences, emphasizing the need for more data on the impact of social networks on the development of mental health issues.
