Sumario:This article analyzes the results of a pedagogical activity developed in the discipline Heritage Interpretation, of the Tourism course at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), in Faculdade de Engenharia, Letras e Ciências Sociais do Seridó (FELCS). The objective of the text is to identify possibilities of appropriation of the Cultural Heritage of Currais Novos/RN by Cultural Tourism. The theoretical framework is of an interdisciplinary character, articulating Cultural Tourism, History and Museology, put in contact from thestudies on Memory and cultural heritage. Methodologically, the research analyzes a questionnaire carried out in the discipline, as well as analyzes bibliographic productions about the municipality of Currais Novos. The results are partial, demonstrating the importance of thinking about the cultural heritage of cities together with their population, enabling their appropriation by Cultural Tourism and their appreciation, as well as possibilities ofaction for tourism professionals.
