Descripción
Sumario:The present study is an exploratory description aiming to identify the number of divergences in the procedures and materials registers made by the nursing team of a Surgical Center, before and after training on assistance invoicing, as well as to compare diver-gences rates before and after the training. The sample was composed of record forms and bills for care received in the surgical and the post-anesthetic recovery rooms of 160 surgeries done in July and November 2001. A significant reduction of the number of divergences after the training was observed. A divergence rate of 38,2% in July was followed by one of 22,4% in November, a 15,8% reduction. The training and the accompaniment of the nurse in charge of Assistance Invoicing turned out to be efficient in the reduction of divergences related to nursing registers and, consequently, contributed to increasing the hospital gross revenues.
