Descripción
Sumario:Law No. 13,005/2014 approved the National Education Plan (PNE) for 2014-2024, after a long period of processing in the National Congress, where several debates were held and society was mobilized. One of the clashes took place over allocating public resources to the private sector, concerning Goal 20. This clash resulted in the victory of sectors that defended the inclusion of public resources invested in the private sector, to obtain the total volume of resources invested in education to reach the equivalent of 10% of GDP. The National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP, in Portuguese) released the Report of the 4th Monitoring Cycle of PNE Goals, with information on the resources applied in the period 2015-2020. By the use of data released by INEP in the fourth report, the study details the volumes of resources invested in the public and private sectors, and at the federal, state, district, municipal, and S system levels.
