Sumario:We aimed to inventory the herpetofauna in aquatic environments of the campus of Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (Recife-PE), a Green Area Protection Property, showing the occupation of these organisms in the different microhabitats, as well as their conservation status. Data collection was carried out during 2017 and 2018, mainly in the rainy season, through active searches and personal information. Twelve microenvironments were evaluated in five water bodies. Forty one species were recorded: Thirty amphibians (Bufonidae, n = 3, Craugastoridae n = 1, Hylidae n = 16, Phyllomedusidae n = 1, Microhylidae n = 1, Leptodactylidae n = 7 and Ranidae n = 1); a lizard (Iguanidae); five snakes (Dipsadidae, n = 4 and Boidae n = 1); three testudines: (Chelidae n = 2 and Kinosternidae n = 1) and two caimans (Alligatoridae, n = 2). Given the great wealth of amphibians and reptiles associated with the water network and the remains of forested areas on the UFRPE Campus, the need for conservation strategies for wildlife for this property is highlighted.
