description This work explores how ayahuasca ceremonies have been appropriated by a Community and Therapeutic Center of Buenos Aires City that highlights the healing/psychotherapeutic effects of the ayahuasca. To account these effects I will use the concept of "psychologization of religion" by Pablo Semán (2000) but changing "religion" to "spirituality". Although it is not a group that defines itself as religious, there is a concern for "spirituality". On the other hand, these healing effects do not appear as mere "beliefs" or "representations" but arise from experience, from a situation of encounter between humans and the ayahuasca plant. Starting from the "native theories" and from my own immersion in the field work, I will try to show how the human-non-human relationship constructs a way of thinking the “self” from the native category of “el sentir”.

Para dar cuenta de estos efectos utilizaremos el concepto de “psicologización de la religión” de Pablo Semán (2000) pero cambiaremos “religión” por “espiritualidad”. Ya que, si bien no se trata de un grupo que se autodefine como religioso, aparece una preocupación por la “espiritualidad”. Por otro lado, estos efectos sanadores no aparecen como meras “creencias” o “representaciones” sino que surgen de la experiencia, de una situación de encuentro entre humanos y la planta de ayahuasca. A partir de las “teorías nativas” y de mi propia inmersión en el trabajo de campo intentaré mostrar cómo la relación humano – no-humano construye una manera de pensarse a “sí mismo” a partir de la categoría nativa del sentir.Este trabalho explora como as cerimônias de ayahuasca foram apropriadas por um Centro Comunitário e Terapêutico da Cidade de Buenos Aires, que destaca os efeitos curativos e psicoterapêuticos dessa chamada poção. Para explicar esses efeitos, usaremos o conceito de "psicologização da religião" de Pablo Semán (2000), mas mudaremos "religião" por "espiritualidade". Isso porque embora não seja um grupo que se define como religioso, existe uma preocupação com a "espiritualidade". Por outro lado, esses efeitos curativos não aparecem como meras "crenças" ou "representações", mas surgem da experiência, de uma situação de encontro entre humanos e a planta da ayahuasca.
