| Resumo: | The craftsman’s manual making carries singular principles, values and characteristics that distinguish it from the making linked to the industrial logic. The greatest of these characteristics is the integration between hand and mind, although historically it has been understood as dichotomous, considering that there was a separation between the craftsman’s manual work and his intellectual work. Such logic, based on the modern division of labor, is also subject to observation in the field of fashion, in which design and execution work are often separated, in processes, structures and formats. This article aims to describe preliminar conceptual reflections on craft and division of labor in the process of creating and producing garments in independent fashion, considering the relations between them. With a qualitative methodological approach, of exploratory character, it adopts bibliographic research as procedure in order to analyze and relate different theories. |
