Sumario:The Internet, a significant milestone of the Digital Revolution, has profoundly influenced society over the past decades. It generates new modes of interaction, circulation of information, entertainment, and work. In this context, electronic games have emerged e-Sports, which have achieved great popularity, especially those related to sports competition, and which are gaining more and more fans at the professional level. With this as a starting point, we reflect on the gamers as a new professional category in the sports scene, which are responsible for the movement of millions of dollars every year.
