Sumario:The mediation actions of culture, information and reading aim to disseminate and expand knowledge and contribute to its construction. They also enable the subject to appropriate the artifacts that make up his cultural identity, in a relationship of belonging with his sociocultural structure. Objective: To analyze how the Acelera Celé Project has been developing the practices of mediation of culture, information and reading to favor the protagonism of the subjects. To achieve the general objective, we sought to describe the constitutive aspects of the Acelera Celé Project that boosted his creation, mission and current objectives and map the mediation actions of culture, information and reading and how they are developed. Method: This is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach, whose method adopted was the case study with the object of investigation the Acelera Celé Project. Result: Among the main results, it was found that the creation of the Acelera Celé Project was motivated by the lack of cultural equipment to subsidize access to information, which the Project has contributed with actions of mediation of culture, information and reading to form readers and which has been supporting these subjects in the construction process of knowledge and social development. Conclusions: The study showed that the Acelera Celé Project has developed reading practices permeated by mediation of culture and information, considering the constituent aspects of the identities of its members, and has been contributing to its protagonism.
