| Sumario: | This paper presents reflections on some aspects of democratic construction in Brazil, through the participation of civil society in institutional spaces for participation. Initially, this will present some points for reflection on democracy, with emphasis on representative democracy and participatory democracy, from classic and contemporary authors. The goal is to visualize these models of democracy not as two alternative forms, but as forms that can be integrated. In this paper, the participation will be considered in its ability to strengthen and deepen democracy, and only a full citizen. Discuss some key points about civil society, public space and public sphere, through the contributions of major authors on this debate. |
