Sumario:The storytelling approach has been seen as a powerful way to teach and learn about science themes due to its potential to help students acquire skills and knowledge. In this research, we examined the effectiveness of storytelling as a tool for promoting the learning of the history of chemistry, investigating the perceptions of 27 students from an initial chemistry training course. To assess the effectiveness of our activity, we used a questionnaire, classroom observation, and a rubric developed to analyze the stories told in video. The results show that the storytelling activity in teaching the history of chemistry was perceived by the students with a high level of its usefulness, both for maturing the learning about the subject and in its applicability as a tool for the profession.
