| Sumario: | The dignified existence of the human being depends not only on a regularphysical development, but also on an appropriated psychological and emotional one. The Federal Constitution of 1988 ensures dignity and sets it as one of the fundamental principles of the Federative Republic of Brazil. So, every practice that violates the dignity has to be rejected. To that end, the Maria da Penha Law prevents many forms of domestic and family violence, among them the moral violence, understood as any behavior that configures slander, defamation or insult. Fighting against such violence protects moral integrity, approaching conceptually, more properly to the moral harassment institute, which is understood as a repeated humiliation towards to each other. This practice harms not only the direct victim of the violence, but damages the whole family, especially the children - children and youth in growing stage. It is possible to understand, therefore, that the moral violence, besides violates the human dignity principle, violates also the responsible parenthood principle, concept that can be seeing in the Constitution of 1988. Bullying is a standard practice in homes and considering the difficulty of proving it, passes unnoticed, causing serious harm to the victims.
