Descripción
Sumario:This article aims to reflect on the concepts of nationalism and imperialism, with an emphasis on how they have been appropriated over time. These concepts gain significance as the years go by and are important for understanding the development of the international society of states, following the principles of Adam Watson. This analysis will be carried out in a comparative manner, as it is understood that this methodology is crucial for a subject of great complexity. We believe that the appropriation of nationalism and imperialism occurs in distinct ways, according to the historical and temporal reality in which these doctrines manifest themselves, and that a careful examination of this is essential for their application and use in historical research.
