Descripción
Sumario:This paper presents the validation of a software of programme for the analysis of thermal performance and energy consumption buildings that uses simplified weather data. The ability of the programme to represent the building envelop thermal performance is tested through the comparative validation method established in the ASHRAE Standard 140 (BESTEST method). The prediction of the electric energy consumption is verified by using the HVAC BESTEST method. Concerning the envelop model, the programme achieved good results for the lightweight walls, but the annual loads estimated for cases with high thermal inertia were higher than the outputs of other programmes available in BESTEST. The electricity consumption of the air-conditioning system estimated by the programme was within the range of results of other programmes listed in the HVAC BESTEST report.
