Sumario:The purpose of this article is to present an account of experiences of a pre-service Spanish teacher at the Teaching and Learning the Spanish Language in Community extracurricular language course. This educational initiative takes place in the city of Salvador-Bahia and aims to offer free Spanish lessons to the college students and the local community in order to provide them with language lessons based on a teaching methodology focused on language cultural aspects. In this text, we confirm the importance of encouraging the contact of undergraduate students in Spanish with different groups in society, in order to help them understand peculiarities of teaching work. Therefore, this project has fulfilled its role in meeting the National Policy of University Extension.
