Sumario:The human face is man's calling card, that's why there are so many complaints about it. One of the main complaints is facial aging, a set of irreversible and inevitable physiological changes that occur from birth, being a natural process of the human being. Knowledge about the anatomy of the face is of great importance for the determination of treatments that restore its structure, in order to ensure patient safety and meet their expectations. Collagen biostimulators are a great option to prevent or even reverse the signs of facial aging. The present study aims to present the main collagen biostimulators on the market, how they act on facial aging and their results after application through an integrative review. Five articles were selected from electronic databases that guided the research. The main biostimulators are: Poly-L-lactic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, polycaprolactone. They act on the skin through microspheres that generate a localized inflammatory response, boosting neocollagenesis, stimulating fibroblasts to produce collagen. The present study showed that biostimulators are a safe and effective option to prevent and reverse the effects of aging, thus improving skin sagging, bringing a more harmonious appearance.
