| Resumo: | This paper, which derives from a doctoral dissertation, aims at discussing the influence of a geodesic dome on the development of Aesthetic-Environmental Education in formal teaching. Collaborators of the study are students and professors that idealized and constructed the geodesic dome at the Instituto Federal de Ciência e Tecnologia Sul-rio-grandense - Campus Pelotas - Visconde da Graça, located in Pelotas, RS, Brazil. Data were produced by semistructured interviews and analyzed by the Textual Discourse Analysis (TDA) proposed by Moraes and Galiazzi. Results showed that the geodesic dome is an innovative classroom which fosters the development of Aesthetic-Environmental Education, since it not only broadens possibilities of contact with the natural environment, but also favors dialogue, sensitivity and critical reflection on reality. |
