Sumario:Many investigations were made on the reproduction system of Crustacea. Unfortunatelly, few researchers have tried to study the fhases of the sexual cycle of the males as well as females. In this paper we try to characterize the different stages of the development of the sexual glands of the spiny lobster Panulirus argus (Latr.). The results obtained must be taken only as a part of the theme, because we do not correlate the microscopic findings with the macroscopic aspects of the gonads. In spite of this, an objective appreciation of the cytological contents of the gonads is made.
