Sumario:This cross-sectional study aimed to assess the mood of female futsal athletes participating in the 2016 Brazilian University Games. A total of 114 athletes with a mean age of 22.07 (sd=3.14) years participated in the study. The instruments used were the Brunel Mood Scale - BRUMS and a sociodemographic questionnaire. The analyzes were performed using the Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney “U” and Spearman correlation tests (p<0.05). The results showed that the athletes who, depending on the number of physical training sessions per week, found a significant difference between the groups in the mood states of anger (p=0.041) and fatigue (p=0.012). Regarding the number of tactical training sessions per week, a significant difference was found between the groups in the mood states of anger (p=0.005), confusion (p=0.003), depression (p=0.044), fatigue (p=0.004) and vigor (p=0.002). When comparing the futsal athletes' mood state as a function of receiving financial support, there was a significant difference between the groups only in the state of vigor mood (p=0.005). Significant and negative correlations were identified between relationship with teammates with anger (r=0.30) and depression (r=-0.22) and positive correlations between relationship with teammates and relationship with coach (r=0.52).
