Descripción
Sumario:: Nine commercial attractants for Litopenaeus vannamei feeds, tested by behavioral responses in Y-maze aquarium apparatus, were evaluated by crude protein level (CP), soluble protein level (SP) and biogenic amines amount: cadaverine (Cad), putrescina (Put) and histamine (Hist). Significant differences among the more efficient attractants against the worst ones were searched; broken line analysis and ANOVA were used. No significant correlations were found among the test variables and the chemical composition of the attractants. Despite total biogenic amines (TBA) were not correlated with behavioral responses, particularities were observed among attractants composition of Put, Cad and Hist. Put were associated with low attractiveness, independent of SP level and TBA concentration. Cad with high PS leve and high TBA concentrations appeared to promote the attractiveness. Put concurrent with Cad, and without Hist, resulted in good attractiveness responses. Cad concurrent with Hist, and without Put, also showed better behavioral responses. Lack of TBA, both high concentrations, stimuli not efficiently shrimps. Apparently, an optimal level of TBA concentration should exist. SP and SP/CP ratio are not recommended for categorize attractants effectiveness
