Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this article is to detect the changes in the agriculture structure occurred in Rio Grande do Sul during the period of 1970 to 1996 and to project possible modifications from 1996 to 2012. This study was carried out using the shift-share method and the Edwards, Harniman e Morgan model. From this standpoint, among the main agricultural activities, during the period of 1970-1996, the most dynamic ones were detected. Also, it was determined the impact of this dynamism for the growth of the different regions of the State and the degree of specialization of each one of these regions. It was possible to verify a significant improvement on the productive structures during the 1970's and a spatial concentration of the growth in the following decades.
