Descrição
Resumo:The present work aims to contribute to the existing discussions about Durkheim's political writings, seeking to promote a reflection on the categories of sacredness, State and democracy problematized by Émile Durkheim in his writings "Individualism and the intellectuals", produced in 1898, in the author's manifestation on the Dreyfus Affair; and in "Lessons in Sociology", a text that stems from a course taught between 1899 and 1900 on the Physics of Morals and Law, when he was still a lecturer at the University of Bordeaux. This does not mean that other works by the French sociologist will not be used, but only that they will not be deepened in this work.
