Sumario:The article starts from the theories of mediatization, political corruption and the media political scandal and investigates the initial phase of coverage of the “Caso Queiroz” with the objective of understanding the construction of this scandal in journalistic reports made by national vehicles about the case. . The methodology used is the Framing Analysis (media frame) in five different journalistic vehicles. As a result, we had elements to understand mechanisms of social construction of the political scandal from the news, journalistic criteria used, in addition to characterizing the strategies of the vehicles to transform cases of corruption into political scandal.
