Sumario:More and more proposals for “revision of the canon” have appeared in academic discussions. Part of this review must result in the rescue of feminist epistemologies or authors whose philosophical works have been supplanted throughout the history of philosophy. In addition to attempts to bring to light the theoretical and conceptual perspective of women philosophers, the defense of feminist epistemologies has also been made through direct propositional conflict with authors recognized by the philosophical canon. This paper is part of this perspective. I develop some questions related to feminist epistemologies through conceptual elements present in Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics, in order to verify the possibilities of conceptual assimilation of his propositions in the institution of a feminist epistemology. For that, I bring the notion of feminist epistemology closer to Gadamer's concepts of tradition, dialogue and historical consciousness. The updating of these concepts, inherited from the tradition with which Gadamer had an ambiguous relationship, allows us to think about feminist epistemologies based on a comprehensive horizon of problems related to the historical silencing of women’s intellectuality.
