Resumo:The forecasting methods of future scenarios are of great importance both from the point of view of companies and national and / or international economies. Prediction applications developed by contemporary methods have gained a great deal of strength, especially in the contemporary business economy. The present documentary research had as objective to analyze the adherence of the demand forecasting model, of the linear regression type, comparing the value predicted by the method with the real obtained in the production of coffee in Brazil, considering the first semester of 2018. Applying the the estimation of productive demand of coffee in the first semester was defined. However, the difference in the expected values compared to the actual values was due to the higher production of Canephora type coffee, which has grown significantly in recent months.
