Summary:The transformations, in certain spaces, are conditioned, mainly, to the physical factors that exist there. The hydrographic basins, as units of analysis, allow a greater understanding of these transformations. The analysis of land use and occupation is used to understand the dynamics in which the space is transformed. By determining the unit of analysis, the time scale and the methodology, it is possible to obtain information about all environmental issues. The objective of this work is the morphometric characterization of a watershed and, concomitantly, the temporal analysis of the use and occupation of the land referring to the years 1985 to 2020. of the study area, the determination of coefficients related to morphometry and data related to land uses and occupations in the proposed time scale, available on the MAP BIOMAS platform and Field Work. The results obtained in the research allow us to conclude that land use and occupation are determined by physical and morphometric factors.
