Sumario:This article aims to present some of the foundations of Freirean Pedagogy, in order to understand the justifications for the constant attacks that this author has suffered from the country's extreme right. In this sense, we seek to answer the following problem: what are the main perspectives and foundations of Freirean Pedagogy that threaten the extreme right of Brazil? Therefore, we seek to answer the following guiding questions, namely: who was Paulo Freire? In what context did liberating pedagogy emerge? What is the perspective of education defended by the extreme right and its historical divergences with Freirean Pedagogy? That said, we carried out a bibliographic research with a dialectical approach, as proposed by Sánchez Gamboa (2013), anchoring ourselves in the following authors: Brandão (1981) Paludo (2008; 2010), Prado (2016), Freire (1996), Marx ( 2013), Gramsci (2011), among others.
