Sumario:This experience report presents the contributions of the Institutional Scholarship Program for Initiation to Teaching (Pibid), for teacher training, from the moments experienced as an ID scholarship holder in the Pedagogy course of the Department of Education, Campus XII of the State University of Bahia (UNEB). The program provided opportunities for dialogue between theory and practice, interaction in the classroom with basic education teachers and students, the enhancement of the training of pedagogues, and the approximation of basic education with the university. In addition to contributing to the training of students who wish to be a teacher, enabling their inclusion in the daily life of the school for observation of pedagogical practice, collaboration in the development of activities proposed by the co-trainer teacher, monitoring of students who had learning difficulties, it enabled us to think about actions and knowledge necessary for teaching practice and training.
