Sumario:This paper intends to highlight problems of Modernity found in a poem by Carlos Drummond de Andradre, Canto ao Homem do Povo Charles Chaplin (Song for the Man of the People Charles Chaplin). For this purpose, Walter Benjamin’s immense contribution, in the form of the fundamental categories of interpretation, is used. The analysis is based on an interdisciplinary approach, which considers both literature and society.
