Sumario:This study aims to analyze the conditions of effectiveness of teaching in investments in basic education in Ananindeua and Marituba and their conditions of supply and quality in the context of FUNDEB. It is an exploratory research of the financing, educational, offer and quality indicators, based on the method in comparative education that sought to establish relationships between the differences and similarities of the municipalities belonging to the metropolitan region of Belém-Pa. The analysis of the data revealed that neither of the two managed of providing quality basic education, despite the increase in resources through FUNDEB. Which highlights the need for restructuring of the fund’s policy and greater financial contribution from the Union.
