| Summary: | The geotourism is an activity that is being more accessible for people from various areas of acting, however, it came ceasing to be exclusivity only for public from geosciences area, so, the expansion of this touristic activity is moving increasingly the economy of many holder cities of geosites and geotrails. This present work have as objective follow the tendencies of geotourism at the State Rio Grande do Norte, studying this in the biggest scheelite mine at the South America, The Brejuí Mine, located on Seridó in the Currais Novos city; showing the influencers aspects of the local geodiversity, for the extraction and adequacy of their mineral resources, as the contribution in the geographical, historical and ambiental potentials, what supports the geoturistic conditions; and evaluating this positive socioeconomical impact for the population wraped by the activity enabling this economic interaction being disseminated grounded in strategies of sustentability and of the geoheritage conservation. Methodology processes correspond to literature searches and revisions to data updates, field research conducted through interviews as well as the technical visitations. The results show, from the potential of discussions that the environment studied is presented as favorable to the development of geotourism mainly by adding positive aspects of both the municipality of Currais Novos as the private sector that manages the mine activities. |
