| Sumario: | This article aims to analyze the relationships between the Baumanian concept of liquid modernity, and the distance education modality (EAD) incorporated into socioeconomic and cultural transformations in liquid times in education. The concept of liquid modernity leads the way of life without criteria, and or models to follow. It is qualitative research, of the descriptive - exploratory type and as for the means, this research is classified as bibliographical, which was carried out from the consultation in publications of Zygmunt Bauman and related authors. Education in liquid-modern times needs to keep up with social changes, seeking new guidelines and positions. The liquid modern phase reported by Bauman has been unfolding since the second half of the twentieth century and undergoing changes in political contexts that directly influence the behavior of individuals, including the way of working, interpersonal relationships, culture and education.
