| Sumario: | This paper proposes a reflection about Fake Estates (1973-1978), a Gordon Matta-Clark (1943-1978) oeuvre. Series of maps, photographs, documents and drawings used to represent the characteristics of property auctioned at public auctions at New York City by the artist in 1973 and 74, which contained the following attributes: inaccessibility, bizarre dimensions and odd positioning within the urban plot. Insignificant micro lots from the point of view of usage, but they still were urban spaces with market value. With his action, Matta-Clark instruct them of an aesthetic value as a starting point of a new approach to urban reality that here we consider didactic. |
