| Sumario: | From the perspective of Sociolinguistic Variationist, this study deals with the deletion of /d/ in morpheme gerund, from the data of the Atlas Language Brazil (ALiB), in order to check the effectiveness of social factors (gender, age, education and location) of the rule. The sample consists of 96 informants, coming from the Brazilian capital of the North, Midwest and South. Of the three regions analyzed, the Midwest is the one that uses the deletion. The low level of education and sex/male favor the rule in the Midwest and North. To the South, there was no variable selection. |
