| Sumario: | This study analyzes qualification policies for workers in the tourism sector in Maranhão from the perspective of the More Qualification Program of the State Department for Tourism. This research has as specific objectives to identify the program's actions; verify difficulties faced by the More Qualification and Tourism program during the execution and unveil the prospects of the program. This was a qualitative research with an exploratory-descriptive approach, thus analyzing the empirical and theoretical data related to the theme; the interview was the data collection technique applied to public managers who run the program. With that, it was possible to conclude that the qualification for the tourist segment is a competitive differential and, in addition, it leads to the learning of new knowledge, skills and competences required by the tourist job market, which also characterizes it, a strategy of reproduction of capital requirements. |
