| Summary: | This paper approaches the methodology of Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM) which aims to reduce the lead time of operations, the object of study herein will be a white goods company. Through the Manufacturing Critical-path Time graph (MCT), the stock of finished products was identified as the focus stage of lead time reduction, therefore it is presented a proposal to adopt a production strategy for availability (make to availability - MTA) to replace the current Make to Stock (MTS) strategy. The goal is to reduce the production lead time, reducing the time-consuming costs of these products in inventory, and resulting in an expected reduction of approximately 50% in the current MCT. |
