| Resumo: | This action research aims to present a diagnosis of the Dom Paulo Libório Municipal Museum of Sacred Art (MASPL) in Teresina, Piauí, from an analytical perspective. This way, we analyze the museum’s general situation and identify the institution’s current state. The development of this study considers collaborative work and exchange of knowledge with the research participants. We base the analyses on the concepts of museum and museology discussed by André Desvallées and François Mairesse (2013), the action research methodology proposed by Michel Thiollent (2009), and the methodological contributions by Duarte Cândido (2019). The results indicate that MASPL emerges as a biographical museum and a space of memory that still presents management and planning problems. Thus, our museological diagnosis of MASPL allows the institution to reflect on its practices and strengthen its image. |
