Descripción
Sumario:Readings on Fernando Pessoa by the Brazilian poet Murilo Mendes will be presented, from the publication in a newspaper in 1944 of his article “Fernando Pessoa”, to the prose “Fernando Pessoa”, from the book Janelas Verdes written in the mid-60s. Moreover, other mentions of the Portuguese poet by Murilo Mendes will be considered, such as in letter to the Portuguese critic and writer Adolfo Casais Monteiro in the 1950s, and in “Murilograma a Fernando Pessoa”, a poem from 1964. The aim is to contribute to an understanding of the way in which Murilo reads or re-reads Fernando Pessoa, situate these readings in their contexts of production and to highlight the extent to which they have changed over time.
