| Sumario: | In a growing scenario where there is concern about the use of biomass as raw material for new products, not everything is perfect, there are scientific, technical, and economic challenges, which often hinder the progress of the project. These challenges need to be pointed out. Although Brazil's potential for the use of biomass as a raw material for new products is notorious, this article aims to present a summary of possible challenges and limitations found for its use. A bibliographical review of articles, dissertations, theses, and research portals of public companies was used as a scientific method, to analyze information about limitations in the use of biomass in reconstituted products. The literature review allowed considering the challenges and limitations of the use of reconstituted biomass. In this sense, it is necessary that the topic be addressed in order to contribute to possible scientific constructions, paying attention to the types of challenges, limitations, and regulations. As a result, the presentation of challenges was achieved, which must be analyzed in order to fill this gap when developing new products from reconstituted biomass. The presented results contribute to better planning and management when developing and using biomass as a raw material. |
