Resumo:When the World Health Organization declared the global pandemic of COVID-19 on March 11th, 2020, and after the swift implementation of quarantines and confinements, health access difficulties increased. In that context E-Health appeared as one of the major innovations which favored health access amongst the population and specially in vulnerable communities. The present article shows some of the strategies that were implemented during the pandemic context of 2020 within the Argentinian Telehealth and Remote Communication Network. This article also presents the importance of the historical work of the Remote Communication Office model in the E-Health field, the model transfer to other health organizations and the collective construction of the Argentinian Telehealth and Remote Communication Network, to accomplish prevention and health promotion activities, and providing health services. As well, this work addresses the adjustments made for strengthening remote health assistance in vulnerable communities during the pandemic, such as the implementation of the National Ministry of Health’s Tele Covid Program.
