| Resumo: | The fact-checking seeks to deal with the misinformation circulating on the internet. This research aims to identify the themes of fake news related to vaccination against Covid-19, the original media and analyze the strategies used by the blog Estadão Verifies to debunk the false information. We divided the theme from subthemes, according to Bardin (2015) and referring to the associated meanings. We found six sub-themes: side effects, research, death, conspiracy, origin, and others. We understand journalism as a technology of the imaginary that faces the post-truth context, seeking to reposition its legitimacy based on fact-checking. We found that most fake news comes from digital social networks, especially Facebook, and goes viral because they are strategically distributed on the network and are part of a context of political struggle. The blog fulfills the social function of informing, but it does not have the reach and impact of fake news. |
