Descrição
Resumo:This article aims to examine how Caetano Veloso structured the song "Triste Bahia" that features in his album Transa, drawing from various influences, from Gregório de Matos and Caetano’s own writings to the Sebastianist myth, while also encompassing references to various songs and the musical operation undertaken by João Gilberto. The track, a result of a sophisticated collage procedure, exhibits some of the characteristics of Transa, notably the possibility of constructing an idea of Brazil in exile through what we refer to as a mapping-record.
