| Resumo: | This article to present an excerpt from the Master's dissertation developed in Program Postgraduate studies in Environmental Education - PPGEA, at the Federal University of Rio Grande - FURG. We present the investigative proposal with the children who live on an island and study in a rural school. This study corresponds to the need to expand and qualify the dialogue and reflection on territories made invisible by theoretical productions, focusing on the perspective of children in the place. The research was accomplished in a field school on Ilha dos Marinheiros, in the extreme south of Rio Grande do Sul, and permanence in the school had a theoretical and methodological basis in the Ecological Insertion, with field diary records and audio recording. Fifteen children from kindergarten and elementary school participated in the research. The results demonstrate unique characteristics about children's cultures on the island and that mobilized the visibility of children in littoral territories. When considering time-space from the children's perspective, it is possible to identify the place where the island school is located as a trainer of subjectivities and experiences with nature in its entirety. |
