| Resumo: | Access to smart environments has introduced new forms of interaction between people and smartphones, making them an extension of existence itself. The design seeks innovative solutions that guarantee the perfect usability of these devices and a better user experience. In this article, we investigated the facilities and difficulties faced by users of different age groups when using two of the most popular smartphone brands. The ISO standard and the System Usability Scale (SUS) were used for usability tests. The results showed that, in relation to effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction, there were differences between age groups when using certain smartphone functions and pointed out usability problems mainly among older people, indicating that it is important to develop more studies to support new versions of equipment launched each year. |
